The following will inform you of the entire process of creating and installing your countertop from start to finish. It details our responsibilities as well as those of the home owner.

Templating
Our templating professionals are responsible for:

· Picking up sinks or sink templates, verifying cook top information, and verifying faucet information at time of template. If you do not have this information available Measure

for us, please contact us as soon as you get it. This information can usually be verified over the telephone. If it becomes necessary for us to get the physical item at our shop, it is your responsibility to bring it to us.

· Verifying that cabinetry is level. If we are templating over existing countertops, the level of cabinets CANNOT be assessed at the time of templating. In rare instances, a cabinet professional must be called in after tear out to level cabinets before installation can occur. A customer service representative can answer any specific questions you may have about tear out procedures.

· Seams- Zodiaq and Granite countertops will have visible seams. Placement of these seams can be discussed with our template professionals, however, ultimate seam placement is at the discretion of the fabricator. Seams will be placed to optimize material usage.

· Special Cases- No two homes are alike. Please discuss your unique situation and any special needs you may have with our template professionals. This includes: sinks, cooking appliances, appliance garages, backsplashes, seaming, and any special issue that may affect countertop installation.

Pre-Production
Now that we have been to your home to make templates, there are some things you should know about the next phase of production.

Your templates will be taken back to our shop and reviewed. If the square footage for your order hasn't changed, we will begin production immediately. If the square footage has changed or changes were made to the order at time of templating, we will immediately hold the job and contact Lowe's for a revised purchase order. A representative from Lowe's will contact you if additional payment is required. Design Innovations has no knowledge of monetary transactions between you and Lowe's. fabricating

Production
Your countertops will begin after all monetary and specification issues have been resolved. Generally, fabrication times vary between two and three weeks.

Scheduling
Approximately one week into fabrication, you will be contacted by a scheduling professional to schedule your installation. You will be given the choice of either an AM or PM appointment. AM appointments start between 8:00 and 12:00. PM appointments start between 12:00 and 4:00. Please keep in mind that all times are approximate. Many job site conditions cannot be predicted.

Installation
On the day of installation:

· Please have all countertops clear of debris and remove everything from your sink base cabinet.

· If you are tearing out your own countertops, please make sure all countertops are removed and cabinets are level. If any countertops are still in place or cabinets are not level, we cannot proceed with installation until arrangements have been made with a Lowe’s professional.

· Installation of countertops is a construction process and residual dust should be expected. You may want to drape or cover areas to help contain dust to the construction area. The job site will be left in broom-clean condition.

Incidental Damage
If possible, final wall preparation should not be completed prior to countertop installation. Care will be exercised during the countertop installation, however, scrapes, punctures, or dings to wall surfaces are possible, as are scratches and scrapes to cabinetry and flooring. These items are considered incidental damage and are the customer's responsibility to repair.

Remakes
In rare instances, countertops are made incorrectly or breakage occurs. If this happens, you will be put at the top of the production schedule and we will remake the countertop as quickly as possible. Remakes usually take two to three days. In some cases, material ordering is necessary and turn around times will be extended. We will contact you immediately if a remake3 is necessary and discuss your unique situation.
